Who is this test for?

Patients with chronic wounds, surgical site infections, diabetic ulcers, or persistent nail infections that have not responded to standard treatment. This panel is especially useful when a polymicrobial infection or antibiotic-resistant organism is suspected.

What are the potential benefits for my patient?

PCR testing can identify multiple bacterial and fungal pathogens simultaneously, including organisms that are difficult to detect through traditional culture. The panel also identifies antibiotic resistance markers, helping clinicians select the most effective treatment and avoid unnecessary broad-spectrum antibiotic use.
